So Bush's joking on the lives of soldiers (as I pointed out in one examle in this thread), is OK?
Or how about sending soldiers without proper armor for a misguided war? How about dressing as a make-believe fighter pilot and flying to a carrier to declare "mission accomplished"? Funny joke, eh?
