I wasn't aware of that. It is my understanding however, that the average soldier has a slightly higher IQ rating than the average civilian, and that the higher the IQ of the soldier, the better he/she does in the military.
I should, in fairness, point out that this is absolutely contrary to anything I would have intuitively believed, and in fact, did believe before researching it a bit, but there it is.
