Yes, that is correct. In fact, if you are not involved on what is going on at school you maybe be out of luck getting the opt-out paperwork from the school.

That reminds me of sex education. I did not want my daughter playing with a banana at school. But public schools are full of things we disagree our kids to be exposed to.
But recruiters were not of concern for me. If anything, they saved me lots of trips to their office.
