John;
Circa 1970ish mentality: God has given us the right to be DUI and kill others. Over 30,000 Americans are killed by drunk drivers each year. We lost 58,000 troops in Vietnam. I never understood why a life lost in Vietnam had meaning while being killed by a drunk driver meant nothing.
Military personal are trained to defend themselves. Not all military personal serve in combat zones. The average driver has little or no chance when hit by a drunk driver.
