Hilmer's suggestion of APRINTERS() provides the same list that comes from the Windows Printers and Faxes maintenance -- where the description of the printer on an individual's computer can be changed. Also available are Location and comments fields, which are returned in APRINTERS(), when the second parameter is a 1 ( numeric one )

Returns a five-column array containing the following items:

array[n,1] Printer name.
array[n,2] Name of the port to which the printer is connected.
array[n,3] Name of the printer driver.
array[n,4] Printer comment.
array[n,5] Printer location.
