This is information about the cost of running an internet server out of your home, as I do.
I have just upgraded my internet connection to two static ip addresses and twice the ADSL speed I had. Now it's 300 mps. This makes the running of a web server okay/legal with the company from which I get my service. Ten email addresses are included. Because I own the server I can do anything I want, as big as I want, with the web at no additional cost if there is under eighty gigs a month traffic.
Here is what it cost.
DNS2Go from
http://www.deerfield.com $19.95 USD (Annual fee) includes VPN
Upgrade that is mentioned above $84.95 Can. Dollars minus the previous ADSL connection fee of $39.95 = $45.00 Can. bucks more per month.
So, in essence it increased my phone bill by $45.00 a month.
Now, if I could just win the lottery, I could afford a nice server farm ;-)
