>>However, my client would like to have the output of the report go to a file. When I attempt to output the report to a text file (e.g. report form formname to file Filename ascii) all the other fields look fine in the text file, but the one calculated field (procedure) gives no error messages but does not print. The data is simply not in the file.

I had thought about that at one point, but was not quite sure if I wanted to do it. If this was a single table, rather than 2 tables with a relation setup, it would be my first choice to simply copy out the selected records to a temporary cursor, add the age field to it, and blow it away when done. This data set would, however, involve copying out records from 2 tables, setting up the relationship on the temporary ones, and then running the report. I will probably just add the age field to the existing table, calculate and add the data when required, and blow away the data when the report is complete.
Thanks for you input.
