Michel,
As I understand it now, Dawn is a pornsite with members who have to fill in their name and country. Do they also have to fill in their home address? I guess it are not companies, rather individuals? And I suspect that the Tax Department and the judge say that too many of those persons probably do not fill in their real name and address. And does Dawn have lists of the IP-addresses that the members use?
If it is the fact that the main argument of the State (versus Dawn) was that Dawn can't give prove of the fact that their customers really live outside Canada, then you should feel positive about YOUR chances. Because you ARE able to give such proof, aren't you!
You have our full addresses, most of us are companies and you have lists of the IP addresses that we use. IP addresses point to countries also. The Tax Inspector can eventually ask you to povide him with (random) samples. Also, it must be piece of cake to prove that the percentage of inside-Canada IP addresses matches the percentage of customers that filled in they reside in Canada.

Peter de Valença
