The Mere Mortals .NET Framework
Hi all. I have recently attempted to get the navigation toolbar up and running on one of my forms. According the help file this is a simple matter, one simply turns on the displaynavigationtoolbar property and ensures that the navigate object is pointing to a control. However, after binding the navigate object to a grid and selecting the on active form toolbar option I received the navigation toolbar, but it does not interact with my data. When the form launches I am on the first record and the previous and first buttons are properly grayed out, but selecting next does not more the record pointer and manually selecting the last record does not refresh the toolbar. Is there something else I am required to do? I attempted to turn on this toolbar on other forms that are completed and I had the same results there as well.
Also, other than a grid what types of objects can you use for navigation purposes? The form I am writing does not require a grid, but I can hide one for navigation purposes if required.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
