If you were at the Gym you have already fallen prey to the Gay Agenda.

I suspect "Gay Agenda" is a code word to hide behind for people with a bigotry that is so offensive that they know if they were to vocalize the full meaning they would lose their support from all but the most bigoted.

I think it safe to assume that Backmann feels gays need to be saved/fixed/corrected.

What she has vocalized is basically the idea that if we treat Gay people as equals, we then teach children that there is nothing wrong with being Gay and that being Gay is not inferior to being straight. That is not the message she wants to send to the children. Instead a message of intolerance and superiority is preferred teaching for children.

I think the true Gay agenda is just to live their lives as equals in our society and that is just not acceptable to some.

"Gay marriage is a very real threat to the states. ...

"Little children will be forced to learn that homosexuality is normal and natural and perhaps they should try it," she continued, claiming that a gay agenda would infiltrate schools. "It will take away the civil rights of little children to be protected in their innocence, but also the rights of parents to control their kids' education and threaten their deeply held religious beliefs." Bachmann then claimed taxpayers and businesses would be forced to pay for same-sex benefits, and the rights of churches and religious organizations would be taken away.

"This is not about hating homosexuals. I love homosexuals," Bachmann concluded. "But should we allow them to teach sinful ways [to] our children?"

>If you follow what she says, maybe you can help answer a question for me. I was watching CNN yesterday while at the gym. Part of their election coverage was to show that because anti-gay marriage legislation seemed to help get folks to the pols in 2004, many states are proposing the legislation again.

>So they showed ads/speeches from several folks running next week. There were a couple guys who leaves don't fall too far from Michele's tree. And they kept on talking about the evils of the "gay agenda". Do you have any idea what this agenda is?

>I live close to W. Hollywood, which is the gay area of Los Angeles. They had quite a halloween parade there, by the way. I worked at a W. Hollywood company that was probably 50% gay. I go eat at some W. Hollywood eateries.

>Other then most of those guys dressing a whole lot better then me, I haven't noticed anything odd there.
>
>Have you heard her discuss the "gay agenda" so I might better understand what it is, so I can be on the lookout.
