Q1. Let say you have customer table with 1 million record and you're connecting to HQ database server thru WAN from your application (branch Office app connect to -> HQ), you're going to pull down all this whole bunch of record using datasets and the only thing you do is add a single record? But why? What's the point? I just can't understand. You know that datasets are the exact copies of a database/table. Maybe you can explain to me as im newbie with datasets..:)


Can you advice me when to use/not to use datasets in a database application? Currently we're designing a database application with 4 branches accessing to the database server located at HQ. HQ will be having 50 users accessing the same database access by branch users. I know there is a performance issue here as I'd seen an application that uses datasets....
