Kevin,
from Gerard's message:
Visual FoxPro C#
--- ---
Seek = ???
Append Blank = ???
Replace = ???
Delete = ???
The ???s
clearly indicate that he in deed wanted exact or near direct replacements. He even asks for "'Replacement' table for Visual FoxPro v's C# commands". Please don't attack me for giving a direct and correct answer to a direct question. I did not, in any way, indicate that he could not get the same end result using DotNet, I only told him that there was no direct alternative commands in DotNet. I do relalize that Delete also is a SQL command, but the three other commands do not have any substitutes in DotNet so far, with or without a separate data engine.
With that said, I step out of this thread.

1. Sorry, nothing similar in dotNet. Well, DotNet dos NOT have those four commands, period. What you and I mean with "similar" obviously differs, and that's fine with me. Gerard asked for EXACT replacement for the commands, and there are none in DotNet, at least so far. >
>Gerard didn't ask for EXACT replacements - he asked if there was 'something like the following', and there certainly are. You responded hastily and incorrectly. Your English is fine - your logic wasn't.
