Thanks very much for the assist; it's really appreciated.

I like your solution; what I'd like is to have one record that includes the changed fields (which is what your code provides), but I only want the changed fields to appear in the record; that way, I can identify the types of changes being made to records. Your solution pulls all fields from the changed records; in the code I wrote, the SCATTER commands only references the fields that I need written to the the object. The only way I could think of to accomplish this was to have multiple IF statements for each instance where a field change was identified, and have the required fields written to the object

(btw - I changed my wording from 'object' to 'array' because in one of the responses I received, I was asked: "what is an object?"; couldn't come up with a better way of explaining what I was doing since I'm a novice, so I used the word 'array' instead)
