Using stored procs is considered a "best practice".

>hi all,
>we are looking at developing a new large application and possible using sqlexpres/sql or mysql as the back end. at the moment we use vfp backend, and are very happy with it. i was wondering if people could recommend using stored proc's to do the table updates in an application environment. I know that some apps use them for reporting but i am not sure if they are suitable for transactions. any help/pointers.reading etc would be appreciated
