I know that ADO.NET is powerful. But comparing it to cursors is like comparing apples and bananas, that was my point.

They are different, yes. Apples and bananas...that's a matter of opinion. A few years ago, I would have agreed, but now, can't say I agree or disagree. I can honestly say that while the features of LINQ will be very nice and welcome, I'm not suffering mightily without them. To be honest, what I'm looking forward to the most, is having SQL-like syntax for custom LIST collections.

I can name quite a few brands of beer, and I am able to distinguish most major brands in a blind test. But I was not able to come up with two brands which are commonly known in USA, and which taste similar.

Well, 'popular' beers like Coors, Miller, and Budweiser are all bad in their own unique way.

BTW, is it early morning for you now, or late night? :-))

Going on 3 AM here....I only sleep a few hours a night. [I usually catch a nap in the early evening]
