I didn't read all the cases in detail but, it doesn't look like any of them were actually excuted. They were finally exonerate and set free or their punishment was adjusted accordingly. So, in that perspective the system did work. However, it is unfortunate that many of them were jailed for many years unjustly... But that's another topic.
All I was saying to Mike was that comparing slavery and those on death row isn't a good analogy. I think comparing the two minimizes the tragedy of slavery. THey are not the same thing. That's all I was trying to say.
