Hello to all you graphics experts out there! :-)

I've been trying to figure out why my graphics, whether a disabled menu option or disabled button, would just show a box instead of the outline of the graphic. My graphic files were PNG files. I went to a previous application I wrote and noticed all of the disabled menu options and buttons displayed the outline of the graphic. I used exclusive BMP graphic files in that application. So, I converted all of my PNG graphic files in this latest application to BMP and now I can see the outline of the graphic when disabled (with the exception of a couple where I had to use Paint Shop Pro to remove the background).

Do all of the graphics for menu options and button have to be BMP files for the graphic to display an outline of the graphic (basically the graphic in black and white)? If not, why is this the only way I could get the graphics to display properly (instead of disabled boxes)?

I am not a graphics person by any stretch of the imagination. Any insight would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

James
