It's not just that they hide the true source. They had stories on last nite that there's been reports that if you hang up, the robo will instantly call you back, ad infinitum, until you listen to the entire call.
In today's Wash Post was a story where many people who were interviewed live in the hotly contested areas. They were receiving a constant barrage of these calls. One lady called the Post in tears because she was receiving so many robo calls, she could not keep the line open for the hospice caring for her mom to call her.
