Wow, I can't believe you've been carrying this converstation this far.

I stick by comments I've made a long time ago. People like Tore need to attend some Dotnet user group meetings or something similar. In all the meeting I've attended, the questions he's posing never come up. It's not a issue. You just have to think differently.

At my main gig now, I work on an accounting app written in VFP. It is being replaced by a java version of the app. There are a couple cases where performance in the java app is not so good. But it's the fault of the data design, not anything to do with the app being in java.
