I did that somewhere... basically, just set the column's .controlsource in code, and refresh the grid. Note that it affects all rows. Changing the column header caption would also be a good idea, so the user would know.

update: my grid was read-only, i.e. the columns to show were decided upon in .arcc of another grid. Didn't try that with a data entry grid. I figure it would work the same.
