>hi all,
>I have a grid in which i am trying to show a few fields, i have to hard ode these columns in rather than use our own classes. I have reduced the column count down to 2, in the first i have a primary key field and in the second i have a date, both of these are set in the control source property of the text1 field under the grid. but when i run up the program the field in the second column is the second column in the table and not the field that i want, what i am missing here?

When you hardcode a grid your table, grid uses for RecordSource, must be in DE of the form. If not you must set RecordSource of the grid and the ControlSource of ALL columns of the grid (not ControlSource of the Current column control).
