One of the best analysis' of politics was from Chris Rock. He was saying on one of his HBO shows how he doesn't like people who make their decisions about an issue just based on hearing how this is how conservatives/liberal decide.
How you really need to hear the whole problem before deciding. I think you can call yourself conservative/liberal because you think more of what you agree with will come out of that camp. But it shouldn't stop you from siding with the other side on a particular topic.
