I wouldn't know that, sorry.
The SP was better when there was no real use of a middle tier. Many thought that they were N-Tier but in all reality they were 1.5 tiers at best. A GUI that did most of the work and a data tier that held data.
Today we know differently. :) Or at least we say we do.
