I would think that is prohibitively expensive these days. One of the reasons health care costs are so out of cost in this country is most of us have health insurance and are hence distanced from the bottom line cost. When you take little Jimmy to the doctor to find out if he just has a cold with cough or strep throat, the perceived cost is $20 or however much the copay is. Whereas the doctor's office bills the insurer what, $200 or $300? That's just a guess but for sure it's a lot higher than the copay.
