Do you have your own case study converting from VFP to dotNET using SP? that would create a lot more context for people wondering about all this stuff (including me). Two things...
First, you posted a URL on a medical code application, asked how I'd do it in an SP, and I started to read it. And then you updated your message with this one. I am really getting tired of replying to you, only to have you completely alter your original message.
If you are this indecisive in what you want to say, I recommend you wait until you've clearly decided.
Second, yes, I actually have several examples. And I will not use them. Regardless of the example, someone will start complaining that it's too simple, doesn't reflect their own requirements for data munging, etc, etc.
Walter has been a critic of SPs and ADO.NET, so I'm giving Walter a chance.
I've offered to write something...Walter has the easy part. Stop covering for him.
