to see if Stefan Wuebbe's answer will help.

>At one client, we have suddenly come across a very bad problem. When we try to change files there we get an error 1111 Invalid File Descriptor. The help file says to write down what we were doing, then call Microsoft.
>
>We had previously spent 5 years without any such problems at this client. They may have changed something on their end, but it isn;t their version of VFP. We are running VFP6.0 SP3 on the client's network.
>
>Right before the error happens, we get an error:
>
>File "\\myserver\myPrg.prg" does not exist.
>
>Then we are stuck in an endless loop of "Invalid File Descriptor" errors. There is no Cancel/Suspend option, only OK or Help.
>
>We have to end the task at this point.
>
>This is 100% reproducible. It always happens when we try to save a file which has been edited from the command window in VFP.
>
>Steps to reproduce:
> - MODIFY COMMAND Test123 [From Command Window]
> - Enter some text into Test123 [Comments or whatever, doesn't matter]
> - Press File/Save [or press Ctrl+W]
> - Boom!
>
>We think they may have changed our rights somehow, but their network expert has been unable to help us.
>
>Any ideas? We're really stuck!
>
>Thanks.
