>How could i find out a motherboard's ram memory bus speed capacity?? This information can be found usually on the motherboard's documentation, the thing is I don't have any of this documentations and i will buy some new DDRAM modules for several pc's. How could i find this info in Windows??? Some third party app? and if it could be possible to run an app through a network?? I know i can could find some of this info by going to each pc and entering BIOS. But i think it would be faster and more accurate to run a software to find out this if there is any.
If you can open a typical computer's case you can see printed on the mobo the make, model and revision. Sometimes this information is shown on the screen during a cold or warm boot. You can hit PAUSE during boot to pause the boot process and write down this information; press Enter to resume the boot.
Once you have the mobo info you can download manuals from the maker's Website. Or, often the specs for the board will include RAM bus speed.
These days the most common (and least expensive) DDR RAM is PC3200 (400MHz FSB). If it turns out your computers use slower FSB speeds (e.g. 266MHz or 333MHz), there's no need to hunt down those hard-to-find and more expensive parts. Just buy PC3200 - it's downwardly compatible and will co-exist with any existing DDR RAM running at lower speeds. In this case you'd be running the extra add-in PC3200 DDR RAM at 266 or 333MHz but that's fine.
