I've never felt the need to be involved like I was this year. The point I've been trying to make all along with you is that the ex-bunch of repubs took everything to extremes. Like never before in history. Nothing hidden, totally out front with it, no holds barred lying, cheating, stealing.

Of course these types of things have been done before. Just not at the federal level. K St was an out and out "government for sale" project. Cunningham in San Diego did little to hide his bribery and I have not heard him apologize at all. As a matter of fact, he blames the reporter who first outted him for his downfall.

I hope, that at a minium, this sends a message that the current behavior will no longer be tolerated.

>>One of the headlines from yesterday was that exit polls show 1/3 evangelicals voting dem. I read many articles in the last month with the same theme. Interviews with staunch repubs who were planning on voting dem just to restore some checks and balances to govt.
>>
>>As the last 6 yrs have shown, power corrupts. And those with total power are absolutely corrupted. There are many situations where the dems voted alongside repubs in the last couple yrs on bills that were half-assed attempts at cleaning things up. Neither party wanted to spill anything on their golden goose.
>>
>>I hope this is a wakeup call to politicians in general that you can't fool all the people all the time.

>Dang, here we are in agreement. What is coming of this world. I'm not impressed with most of the politicians these days. Oh well, it'll be interesting to say the least.
