Is it indeed a day to enjoy, or one for sombre remembrance and regret?
We don't have an "Armistice Day" public holiday in the UK, but the 11th is marked by the laying of wreaths at the cenotaph in London, military parades, veterans' march past and all, on the nearest Sunday thereto.
BTW, they sell red poppies here, in support of veterans' charities (you'll see all UK newscasters wearing them). Is there anything similar over there?
... or in Canada, you guys?
