Agreed on all counts.

I would add Michael Irvin. He is far from the most erudite commentator and his U-Miami personality is jarring to some, but when you listen to what he says he really does know the game. And he isn't afraid to speak the truth. As far as the threads, that's a tossup <lol>.

I have been a Madden fan for so long he has almost become part of the ether, part of what we get for free just for being alive. Here is the one I loved the other night. One of the NY Giants cornerbacks was getting toasted and Madden was on it pretty fast. He kept coming back to it but there was never anything personal about it. He never seems to wish less than the best for anyone. This was "inside baseball" at its best, even if it was inside football in this case.

Wouldn't it be cool to ride along on the Madden bus for a week?
