If Rutgers goes undefeated with either Ohio or Michigan, aren't they worthy of a shot at the national title? If BCS ignores Rutgers, what would that mean to Big East? I know Rutgers vs. Ohio/Michigan doesn't sound sexy, but you gotta let have a shot.I like Arkansas. Too bad USC wipped them the first game of the year. Otherwise, they're right there. I don't think USC can beat them now tho. If the Razorbacks go 11 - 1, I think they should play for the championship.
OK...suppose Rutgers goes undefeated...then what about Boise State? They're 10-0...sure, they play in the WAC....but they'd probably feel their arguments aren't any less valid than an undefeated Big East team.
I think the Big East has made a statement that the BCS can't ignore. But let's be honest....it might be better for Rutgers to go undefeated, play in a different bowl and shout unfairness for months, instead of going to the National Championship game and getting hammered by either OSU or Michigan. Hopefully in the coming years, we'll see better out-of-conference games involving the Big East.
Yes, I agree on Arkansas - after that horrible game against USC, they're playing very well.
