>>Speaking of Indian, have you ever had first nations, native food? Bannock with saskatoon berries jam on it is great. Smoked salmon aka "Indian Candy".

>No, and I went to a pow-wow last time I was in Canada. The only food on sale was the usual burgers, corn, etc. But I did eat a buffalo burger. Does that count?

How was it? They are actually bison, not buffalo. Damn you Buffalo Bill!

>What's bannock BTW? - saskatoon?

Bannock is the fried bread that they make. Sort of like sourbread biscuit door, made into an airy, greasy large pancake. Better than it sounds.

Saskatoon berries a larger and more sour cousin of the blueberry. Very nice in jam in the same way that cranberries and elderberries are.
