I've worked in Ecuador, Guatemala, and Mexico but never made it to Brazil.
I have gone 'sort of' veggie. I rarely eat meat any more, but about once a year I get a craving for a steak.
I'll keep "carne seca" made with "manteiga de garrafa" in mind if I ever do make it to Brazil.
>>I spent 16 years working as an exploration geologist in the SW. My hands down favorite is Casa Molina in Tucson. One of their meat choices is carne seca which I've never seen anywhere else.

>We have "carne seca" in Brazil. If you ever get lost in this part of the planet, visit the north east of this country and you will find the best "carne seca" made with "manteiga de garrafa" ( a sort of butter ). Unless, of course, you decide to go veggie before that ... :)
