>>I just went to check the numbers because they seems awfully high to me. (We happen to have the paperwork sitting around.) I think they're trying desperately to bump us off the plan we have. It went from $1600+ per month for 2006 to $2300+ per month for 2007. Oh, and this is without dental--we've never had that, though we do have eye care.

>I hope you do look into it because that seems awfully high. I have been with top level insurers like BCBS and United Healthcare and the combined cost to employee and employer has never been higher than $1400/month. (I find this out when I quit and get the COBRA numbers <s>). Maybe they're just sticking it to individual insureds compared to group plans, I don't know.

It is a group plan with the Bar Association, so maybe they're sticking it to lawyers. <g> BC/BS.
