>I've got a client who has just discovered that the VFP ODBC driver is read/write and she's not real happy about that at all. She is using a bunch of MS Queries to provide data to users and all the user has to do is select "allow edit" and the changes will go back to the underlying DBF. I really don't have occasion to access VFP tables via ODBC, so I just don't know a lot about it. Is there a way to make it read-only? She has no need to allow anyone to edit via an MS Query is Excel. It's only for reporting needs.

For ODBC I don,t know all the options (ReadOnly might be available). She can instead use VFPOLEDB which has Read and Share Deny Write modes.
