As of yet I have not seen it <g>. Actually I have, and it was a really cool play. The first time you see it you think, "Well, *that" will be on the highlight shows." And sure enough it has been.

At the present time <g> I think I will be getting sleepy before I can even make a dent in the verbal tics of sports announcers. I don't get worked up about it -- it's more like a subconscious "Yeah, I know what you mean" -- but there are a few phrases that get under my skin. One is what I think of as tense dyslexia, most often postgame commentary accompanied by replay footage. "If he doesn't make that stop we're still playing here...."

Here's another, which you seem to share: "The Eagles are faced with another third down situation." Do you mean IT'S THIRD DOWN? Isn't that the situation?
