Back in the sixties and seventies the progressive idea was to not marry at all! (Most of our closest friends and we too have sticked to that idea and still are not married. The facts: 5 couples having 14 children. We sometimes wonder how it will feel when the first child gets married.)

Indeed, in our eyes (well, okay, in my eyes) the 'progressive' gay people who propagate marriage are propagating a quite conservative ideology. BTW, are you married? :)
