There isn't any imcompatibility for legal rights of who live together.. The institution marriage that has strong moral and religious imcompatibility..

For example.. A gay guy has as a partner other one that help him to build an empire.. On his death the logical procedure is to give to the partner all the goods.. This is legal rights.. No problem at all..
