Running our application written in VFP7 our customers are experiencing a problem with listboxes not being refreshed properly. The problem only occurs on laptop computers (mostly Dell Latitudes but also at least one Lenovo ThinkPad). Here's the problem...
1. the customer enters new data in a series of entry screens and saves the data
2. when returned to a screen listing the records available for edit the new records do not appear
3. however, if the user tries to reenter the data as a new record, he/she gets an error message indicating it is a duplciate entry.
4. the user exits the program and restarts it... still the records are missing.
5. they send me their data folder. I load it on my system and ...lo and behold... the records are displayed correctly.

Troubleshooting info... On the ThinkPad we had the user boot her XP machine in Safe Mode and run the program. The new records are displayed and the program runs flawlessly. Obviously some driver or program is getting loaded that is causing us grief. However, the user swears that her machine is identical to other users in her school district that are using the program just fine.

Years ago we had problems with Fox and disk caching where we had to have the user turn off disk write caching. I thought this might be related but it doesn't appear to be the issue here.

I vaguely remember a somewhat similar situation we had with a user last year on a laptop. On that one we had the tech change the AGP Aperture setting in the BIOS from 120MB to 32MB.

Has anyone experienced any similar problems that were related to the video card or driver?
