>Two of the buttons on my form are creating an ansmtp object to send an email. After the user clicks on the buttons, they disappear when you move the mouse pointer over the buttons. There is no additional code in the mouse move event.

I don't have an answer for you but I do have the same/similar problem on one of my vfp9 sp1 (themes on) forms but only on my main xp computer. The form has an activex list control and a number of buttons and one dropdown. If I display a messagebox dialog over the form and then close the messagebox, when I then move the mouse over any button on the form all of the buttons and the dropdown disappear. The activex list does not. If I then move the mouse over the spot where the button(s) were, each button reappears (and works) while the mouse is over it but then disappears again when the mouse moves off of it. I can get all of the buttons to reappear by maximizing the form. After that, no matter what I do, they won't disappear again until I close the form and start over. It's a one time per form opening deal and only happens when I use messagbox. I can open any vfp form, report, preview or browse over the form and there are no issues.

The form works fine in windows 98, me and on other computers here with xp so I'm inclined to think that my issue is related to my box in some way. It's a wierd one.

I use the same activex list control on other forms and in similar ways and don't have any issues with them.

Also had a similar problem recently when calling a third party dll and then calling a messagbox. Never did fix that one, just switched to a regular form instead of calling the messagebox.

Switching to a regular form did not solve the issues with the form with the activex list. It still does it and it drives me nuts. Thankfully none of my customers have ever had this happen.

Jim
