I don't have an answer for you, however, if what you say is true then I can't blame you for wanting to rant!

Yes, the Fox does seem to spoil us with its native controls. I especially like the way VFP's textbox can have an inputmask property that is so simple to setup and actually works. Just recently I'd discovered that if a textbox is bound to a date field, using the cursor up/down can change the day/month portion in increments of 1. I wonder what else is hidden in there :)
