Hi Fernando.
I've checked Cetin's advice as well a little while ago, and they look good.
My experience with .NET has lasted some 4 months now, and I also chose VB.NET, although a great friend of mine keeps making fun of me saying VB.NET is for little girls ... huahuahuahuahua
Right now, I'm following this book : "Wiley - Beginning Visual Basic 2005"
I have also worked with all sorts of languages as you, and I find this one good enough for a start. Be ready to discover a whole lot of new things you will have to deal with, but so far, for me, it looks a wise step forwards.
I have also decided to buy a comercial framework, which certainly has saved me hundreds of hours in learning and developing.
Anything I might be able to help, feel free to make contact.
Abraços.
Ivan
