>Good point - I am sure I will update soon. But I see lots of commercial appls that are written in VFP6 (or 5), so assumed that these earlier versions were tried and true. In the mean time, if anyone else (in addiotn to Mike Yearwood) could confirm whether Dropdown List comboboxes have been fixed in VFP 9, I would be very grateful! He came up with a very simple test using Values instead of Fields or Alias...

It's a big chance that you are actually spending a lot of time on something which has been fixed or changed in newser versions. If time is money, you lose money every hour you don't upgrade. Intellisense itself is enough reason to upgrade.
