If you want books I would suggest Murach.
http://www.murach.com/index.htmThe Murach series gets you up and running quickly. You should become familiar with the Visual Studio IDE and this will help.
Perhaps someone near you can recommend a good training company if that is what you would like.
I hope that you will have documentation (business requirements, etc.) and source code for your application. Will this be a Visual Studio 2005 project? Windows or web based? Was it created using a Framework Application such as MM? Does it have OOP and unique classes? Business and data layers?
Ask questions and get answers. It will help you in the long run.
