The Giants were projected 10-6 for this season. Remember the 2005 shut-out by Carolina (23-0) in wild card playoffs? Then along came Seattle... :o(

If the Panthers don't mess it up (they have in the past) and manage not to suffer any more injuries, they'll be there without needing a wildcard...

>>haha, yes, the Cowboys need a kicker.

>>I don't understand what's with Vanderjagt. He's lost all confidence in himself. I remember around 2000-2001, he was automatic.

>>Dallas certainly benefited from a few favorable calls [and non-calls]...but I give them credit, they played a very aggressive and tough game against Dallas. It was a great game to watch, and you never could safely bet until the very end who would come out on top. But if I were a Cowboy fan, I'd admit in the back of my head that Indy got the short end of the calls.

>>It will take a big coaching job for Parcells to get his team physically and mentally ready for Thursday.

>>Hey, how 'about 'dem Chiefs? If the Giants beat Jax on Monday night, KC will have sole possesion of the number 2 WC spot. Yeah, there's still a long way to go, but I can dream. Bring on the Broncos....

>As you know, the Giants didn't beat Jax, so the AFC wild card remains up for grabs. Some good AFC teams are still on the bubble and some mediocre NFC teams will at least have a ticket to the dance. It doesn't seem fair but dem's da rules.
