Here another approach, suggested by a member of another forum (I even didn't thought about this :o):
SELECT  count(*)
FROM    OPENROWSET ('SQLOLEDB','Server=(local);TRUSTED_CONNECTION=YES;','set fmtonly off exec YourDB.dbo.SP_1)
AS tbl
