What about the location where the temporary files are stored?

TMPFILES
EDITWORK
PROGWORK
SORTWORK

also, does the application use a resource file? Do they have rights to it? If you delete it, does it create a new one when the app is started? Is the resource file in a location where each user has their own resource file and it is not shared?

>The user can create a new file and content and view the results of that process in the directory that houses the DBF files. Perhaps this is being narrowed down a bit and appears to be a potential aggressive virus scan. Only issue I have is that I do not have the access rights to turn it off and the administrators are out on vacation...

>>>Here is the update - SET EXCLUSIVE OFF is the setting. I ran the EXE on my notebook without issue and did the same with a co-worker that does not have the VFP 9 software just the EXE. That works fine for him and we are all on the same Windows network and are in the same bldg.

>>>The target person that is slated to run the EXE continues to have the recurring issue with the following error message:
>>>
>>>Error: 1705
>>>File access is denied.
>>>
>>>Got any other ideas?

>>Check access rights on the data folder for that person.
