I've got these tables that belong to a FPD2.6 application. I'm gradually replacing the FPD system with a new Windows version. Of course, the tables are all by default free, there being no dbcs before VFP.

Now, there is a critical bit of code where I create up to 4 recs at a time, all assoc. with each other, but I may also have to first delete up to 4 recs and replace them with these. Ideal candidate for transactioms. But, I assume I can't include these tables in a VFP dbc for fear of "future-tainting" them for the FPD app.

Any ideas on how to create a "critical code" section equive. to a begin ... end trans bracket?

Sure, I guess I'll have to do it with temp tables but there's STILL that problem when these have to overwrite the live data.
