Hi

I installed a copy of MS Office 2003 and then tried automation from terminal services and it worked correctly with no errors. So I will just get the customer to upgrade.

I checked the MS KB and discovered that there needs to be some DCOM configuration done to make it work and that Microsoft does not support automation under Terminal Services (kb 288366). After reading this I wondered if others have done this and whether they found it to be stable. I also wondered what alternatives exist for this scenario.
