Ha Ha! I think you'll find that all western teenagers try booze, and find it bitter, and would rather still have Coke or 7-up. That's why "alco-pops" are so popular with kids. However, you gradually get over the bitterness and wean yourself onto booze. You took the sensible route and stayed away.
